Cyclops, Drac and The Clown. by DonLanning Cyclops, Drac and The Clown. by DonLanning
Growing up i would haunt the local magic shops looking for new monster masks then and now i see the "latex Halloween mask" as high art.

I annoyed the hell out of the local costume shop as a kid, I never bought anything and just stared for hours at it all.
Halloween is a holy day at my house, my wife and myself got married on halloween in full costume.
And make no mistake: latex halloween masks are indeed high art.

I wish I knew enough about sculpting or mask-making to give you a worthwhile critique, but I can say that I absolutely LOVE your work and have been an avid fan of masks (and Halloween) since I was a kid. Great expressions, great sculpting and now clowns are scarier than ever!

These are unbelievable!! I love the dracula mask (mainly because I like the classic vampires, or any vampires really) but the clown mask is absolutely terrifying.

Don, I agree that mask making is a high art! I used to work at a place in Greeley called DISTORTIONS and I would get to help in the process(from start to finish) of mask making! I know it is very painstaking work, always striving for originality and the perfect facial expressions!
